Emily Hartnett is an aspiring composer for video games, the passion stemming from a young age and continued habit of escaping into digital worlds. Her musical journey started at age six when she began to learn piano, quickly igniting a dedication that sustained her through five grades and thrust her into the world of composition. This was continued at Exeter college where she is now in her second year studying full-time music production. A distinction in her first year highlights her strong work ethic and aspiration for learning which has only grown since.
Emily Hartnett has composed many tracks with them being mainly inspired by or composed for existing video games. They contain recorded violins, double bass and even an opera singer! She plans to use her recording knowledge to collaborate with a wide range of instrumentalists and further develop her tracks.

She has worked on notable events including Exeter College's annual 'Festival of the Carols' hosted at the imposing Exeter Cathedral, assisting with mic set up and sound monitoring throughout the concert. She has also created music for Exeter Cathedral's new gallery space, combining recorded audio from around the building with synthesis and orchestral instruments to create a musical soundscape reflecting its journey through history. Emily plans to continue growing her knowledge by advancing into the music industry and attending University.
